does your town not have shuttle service for the disabled?just wondering..because we are a small town but do have this service..it does cost and require registration and proof from your doc..just a little note saying you have trouble walking more than just a short distance..check it out through your public transit system..good luck..be careful:) BTW the rides are not expensive!
If you do decide to try it bring a cell phone and a walker.(don't care if you don't like them) Also take into consideration the heat. It supposed to go into the 80's down this end. And thats in the burbs. The city will be a bit warmer. Not sure if you are in the burbs or city of Newark but take that into consederation. Also where a hat if possible. And anything alse that may keep you cool. I still say wait for the bus though. Sounds much safer.
And edyebeady is right. Call the county and find out about free busing to your appointments. You will need proof of disability though. Good luck and be safe.
good luck with the doc today!
