I would ask him all your options! I have been doing well with Copaxone for many years. I would look up all the treatments, and read about side effects, efficiency and then talk to your DR. I was feeling worse before I started treatment, and now I am mostly stable! Good luck!

If you get on aggressive drug therapy early, it is really proven to slow the disease down. It can stop a major MS episode from happening, where the body cannot repair itself. If Gilenia isn't working out for you, research the other drugs available, but do something. Don't delay treatment. See this very helpful article on searching for new therapy:

Ive been on gilenya since Feb I was on Tysabri before that must say I love taking a pill a day soooooooooo good, I wouldnt be very good at daily injections thats me personaly, loads of people do though.

I was on betaferon then avonex then nothing for ages as reacted to both. Now on Gilenya & love it, I have had no bad reactions & been on it since December before last. Get checked out & go with what your Dr advises too.

A lot of times the Dr. will prescribe a steroid IV for flare ups and initial treatment. It seems like they all prescribe Solumedrol. It takes about an hour and a half for 3 days for the treatment. I have had to get them 4 or 5 times and has always helped me. Maybe ask your Dr. about that until you make a dedcision on MS medication.
Also you may want to keep a log of any symptoms or questions you have. I always forget if I don't. Good luck, hope all goes well.

I'm no doctor but 52bpm is bradycardia (slow heartbeat) normal starts at 60bpm, if it was me, there would be noway I would take a med that would slow my heartbeat down when it's already too low. Just my 2 cents. (((hugs)))

Research a new med called Aubagio. Sounds good but don't know about heart rate.

That heart rate is low. Are you on any other medications?

If you are on other medications I would take all those medications to your Dr. so he can physically see what you are on. Ask what are all the options for treatment for you.

Personally I would not take it with a heart rate that low if it causes low heart rate. Secondly I would see your pcp or cardio about your already low heart rate. One of your other medications could be causing this. Especially if your on BP meds.
