That sounds similar to how I was initially diagnosed.

I felt like I couldn't get my two eyes to focus together and that my left eye had to take some time to "settle" on what I was looking at.

It turned out to be optin neuritis I think - my left eye would not go to the right, it would only look left and stright ahead so when I tried to look right it was causing double vision.

It took about a week to clear up and hasn't come back - though it has certainly been replaced by other icky things!

I too get blurry vision when I am tired, or overstressed. Meclizine was prescribed for me initially for dizziness and vertigo, but I am glad it helped you with your vision. As for the balance, the only thing that has seemed to help with that has been LDN. Best wishes!

I would see if you can get an appointment with a Nuero-Opthamologist. If you can't a really good Eye Doctor. The optic Nerve is behind the eye and can only be seen with equipment at the Eye Doctor's. I would have them take a look at you and make sure you are not experiencing Optic Nueritus. I had this and lost the vision in my right eye. Don;t wait...try to get an appointment ASAP.

I'm not positive but I think lesions can sometimes show up after symptoms. Like a delay. Again, I'm not sure, but I read a ton about MS and I think I read that somewhere. So, in other words, even if your MRI doesn't say you're having an exacerbation, if you have the symptoms, then isn't it an exacerbation?

Wow, I have had that start too! It seems to come on with stress, or worry or a very long day. It's almost blurry double but not really just weird and sometimes my eyelids hurt. I just have reg saline drops i keep in my bag and if it ever happens I throw lots of drops in my eyes and try to close your eyes for a few minutes if you can to rest them. It's weird I thought I was the only one with that. I haven't gone to the doc yet but it will be the same old same old, MRI no lesions (new lesions. Helps to know that Im not the only one who is having this issue. I truly hate when it happens. Good luck and let me know if the med helps after on it for a while. Oh I did get a diagnosis once from an eye Dr that I have Blepharitis which is dry eye which is common with MS'rs but...the blurry and double shaky vision just started for me too. I've been in pain are you in any new pain? My blood pressure was higher than usual and I thought maybe it was that, but it wasn't. Good luck. :-)

I am so glad you are going to the Doctor's! Let me know how you make out! It has my understanding that the lesions on the brain show the damage that occurs after the attack. Also, because MRI's are so expensive I don't think they are used much to determine IF someone is having an Exacerbation. Get good doctor's for everything. The Eye doctor will be able to rule out any significant problems and let you know if it is the MS. I don't play around with the eyes at all, especially since I am down to one now! Good Luck!

exacerbations can be silent and they can be roaring; in terms of the mri.
I have similar difficulties when I get tired. and it seems like it never is "visible" when i go to the dr. aggravating.
