hi again everyone, ok another question...how many of u have severe back pain? i have severe sacral area pain, also pain in my back between my neck and my bra straps...i am in agony and that is no exaggeration..i am on lyrica and endep for nerve pain and i have panadol and nurofen as well...nothing really seems to help with the pain..i also have pain running down my legs....thanks again for making me feel so welcome....shannon

I rarely suffer extreme pain except when I get 'the hug' (another joy for you to experience) and then I take a couple of panadine Forte (prescribed by gp) and they help.

Years before I was DX I had severs neck & back pain, especially between my shoulder blades/bra strap area. Some of it was "The HUG" but also a bulging disk, spinal stenosis. Physical Therapy helps but I also take Vicodin, Baclofen & Nortryptalene(sp?). It helps & keeps me moving. I wish you the best & I understand how painful it can be.

a couple of things that have helped me with the severe unrelenting pain
TENS machine
I found the tens machine work beautifully if you want more information just Google it or message me
it really does work it is low cost and is covered under most insurance
going to a pain clinic where a doctor froze the more painful nerve bundle or pressure spot. Just freezing itself would wear off in a couple of hours but the pain would go away for weeks.

thank you everyone for your replies..still in pain going to ask neuro if i can see a pain specialist when i go in for my lumbar puncture he also has me booked in now to do a special study called a evoked potential test..best wishes to u all....shannon

I have chronic 247 pain in my legs , feet and ankles. Nothing helped. Finally put on oxycotin ER and roxicodone along with bacoflen and lyrica. I cant figure out the lyrica yet. I dont take it everyday as it causes weight gain. I take when my pain gets unbearable. I have a hard time describing my pain to doctors. Its more of a bone crusing, deep horrible ache. I dont know what kind of pain this is. Nerve pain ? My leg muscles especially my calves hurt and are so sore all they time like I worked out too hard. I dont know what causes muscle sorness when I dont work out, just daily stretching, anybody got any ideas? ? I dont have bad muscle spasms just a light tightness and these little muscle flutters I feel, not painful just strange. I do hear of people having back and neck psin alot with ms. I do hsve back and neck pain too but I think mine is mostly due to disk degeneration.
