I'm wondering if this would be helpful for me. I do not have general incontinence. Urge incontinence, yes, and a generally picky bladder- no citrus, alcohol, or too much sugar, or caffeine. Even knowing this and limiting irritants, I feel I need to go more often and maybe am not as attentive as I should be in making sure I'm all empty, so then I have to go again 20 min later. I've been to a urologist, did the emptying test and ultrasound to check for stones and such. All clear. I do have some urge incontinence occasionally and a general distrust in my ability to hold it as long as I might need to and it has definitely influenced my comfort and willingness to sign up for social outings where I am unfamiliar or uncertain with restroom access. Once peed my pants waiting in line for the restroom. I was pregnant when I saw the urologist so I did not have the full urodynamics work up. Just what she was comfortable doing with baby in utero. Would that be something anyone would recommend as well? I have been prone to and am deathly afraid of UTIs so if it would help with that or cause more complications that would be helpful information as well. I think I just read about a new approved device, can't remember what exactly, but I think it sounded like a slightly permanent piece and its cut down on UTIs. I know its new but if anyone has tried that I'd like to know as well. I have not brought this up with my neurologist yet. Just dealing with it but I'd rather not if there is something better out there. Thanks for any help in this oh-so-fun gift of MS.
