I'm not on rebif, or anything at the moment for that matter, but when I was on Avonex, I had the worst flu like symptoms! The needle was a big problem with me, but the worst was the flu like symptoms. It's the reason I quit taking it. They said I'd get used to it, but I never did. Course I only took it about 4 months. I just couldn't take it.

I'm sorry that you had to go thru that. I wish they could come out with something that didn't have all those side effects.

I was on rebif and I did have that rogue side affect...I didn't have any symptoms at all really to start with(but I wonder if that was becuz I started with Avonex) and then a few months later I did...and it was harsh...it was so bad I had to quit the injection completely...I also had a change to my insurance and couldn't afford it anymore...so I was with out til just a few months ago. So I am going back thru the meds again to see which one I can tolerate with out severe reactions.

Yes I have. I will go weeks with none and then have a couple of rough nights like you described. Doc suggested to adding benadryl to the prehand self meds to help with the chills. It helps that along with Tylenol arthritis (my hips will ache on these nights as well)
