Do you tell your doctor about every possible relapse you think you're having? I've NEVER told any of them when I thought something was funky. I just assumed I was "not feeling well". Now they never stop. My neuro thought I might have been in SPMS, but now she tells me she thinks my MS has "burned itself out". No one knows what she's talking about. MS is not her specialty and I don't think she really knows that much about it.
I'm in a permanent "feel bad" condition.... never a day off. I have several autoimmune illnesses and some other stuff. She tells me that ALL of it is brought on by my anxiety. Come on!! My last visit with her was a rote narration of a book she wants me to get concerning insomnia and anxiety. Her speciality is strokes and .... SLEEP!
So anyway, I wonder if all these years I've been having one relapse after another and just thought it was "being sick" and never told her about them. Maybe I hurt myself by keeping it to myself.

OMG!! I think you're long overdue to see an MS specialist. Some needs to help sort out all of this. In my opinion, it is certainly NOT just that you've been feeling bad all this time. I wouldn't speculate... could be fatigue... or something else. Do you have an integrative medical doctor?

lorrieonline what is an integrative doctor? Never heard that term. This woman is getting kicked to the curb. The problems is that my insurance only covers one hospital system here and all the neuros are in the same group. So I need to find one with an open mind who will not just refer back to her notes.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...
