Hi. I been off line for over 4 weeks due to being in hospital & rehab.
I rang my Neurologist rooms on Thursday 7 May as I was sure I was having a bad relapse. Over the previous 2 weeks I had gradually lost the ability to lift my feet to walk so was shuffling & couldn't do the smallest of steps or lift much.
I saw a different to mine as he was booked solid. I was admitted through emergency & had 3 days of the drip.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

I was admitted on Friday May 8 & was lucky I was assessed for a rehab bed & I got a bed the following Monday. I had not been to this rehab before so didn't know what to expect.
This was the best rehab I have ever had. I had a lot of physio, I had groups for different types of strengths like core muscles, strength & balance. Saw a neuro-psychologist as well as ot's, & others.
Finally came home yesterday.
You are in my thoughts.
I have been out a couple of times & can't get my legs into the car properly so Hubby has to lift one leg/foot in each time.
I am struggling to walk as my legs still don't get off the ground by much.
My fatigue levels are through the roof but I still don't get much sleep.
I am having really bad trouble with memory, planning etc.
Even getting dressed is exhausting. I go to bed with socks on & often leave them on for the day if not getting carer or David home to help me.
I am getting really frustrated really quickly over all sorts of Inge, some are so trivial it's silly.
I have an appt with pain clinic on Thurs & she said last time that she will do a new referral for spinal surgery.
Hope steroids helped you Amazonmom & you feel better soon.
Will post more another time.
