If you get a dx of MS, or even probably/possible MS, you should start treatment/medications as soon as possible. A new study shows that it's not enough to treat MS as soon as it's diagnosed. The time to start treatment is when you've had a single MS-like event. If you get on aggressive drug therapy early, it is really proven to slow the disease down. It can stop a major MS episode from happening, where the body cannot repair itself. Just remember, a dx is not a death sentence. Stress is really bad for MS, so try to stop worrying and get in to see that neuro as soon as possible and get on treatment.
However I do believe that stress and a poor diet can worsen the symptoms and that would be great to get these sorted out as soon as possible along with early treatment. I am optimistic for you, you are young, and with all the attention ms is getting both medically and in the media the chances of you seeing a cure in your lifetime have never been better.
Although it really seems scary in the beginning it gets much easier with time and you can still have a great future.
yeah my neuro wants to see me in 2 weeks...if i have ms im started treatment...im started therapy too asap ...i need to handle this anxiety and eating problems too
Good luck with the early treatment, anxiety and eating problems, well done that you are reaching out and seeking help!
Here is a utube video blogger who shares her bipolar experiences, she is doing really good on zyprexa, I don't know if this causes lesions?

We don't cause our MS, but we can make it worse.
Def concentrate on good diet, sleeping, exercising--TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF as if you're very fragile...because now you might be.
If anything maybe this is the Universe's way of telling you to take care of your body. Becasue now if you don't you're going to paaay...haha. When I don't take care of my MS in every facet it causes me horrible pain and disability for days/weeks/months.
PM me if you need an ear, advice --whatever. MS has been with me now almost 6 years. I am happier NOW --even as sick as I am--than I was when I was healthy :)
There is another side to the fear and initial shock. If you have MS, its not a death sentence. You'll find a new normal and be stronger for the experience! We're all here for you in the mean time!
BIG HUGS
I was dx at 18 and when the double vision went away I convinced myself that it was just a sinus infection, so I did not start any treatment until years later. Even though my neurologist said I should be on something "To preserve what abilities I had now.", I even tried to convince him that the MRI results didn't mean much to a person who is not seeing double anymore. Man, kids can be dumb!!
I honestly believe now at 33 that if I had started and STAYED on ANY treatments way back then I would be relying less on my crutches every day now. Or even if I just had been more accepting of the realities of any sickness I obviously had back in 98' instead of decideing to just drink my problems away because I did not see any benift to living or wanting to beleive what some Dr. said I should do.
I hope you find strength! And nooo it is not your fault for causing a thing wrong if it's MS or somethin else! It's just the happy luck we ill people tend to have that is creating our personal fun.
i will take care of me now....i promise
