Pushing through fatigue, harmful or not?
BlueIndy
Just wondering if pushing myself through this fatigue and keeping on working is harmful or just stubborn.
Some days I just stand there at work saying to myself "I can't, I just can't keep going" ...but I still do. I work in a super hot factory on an assembly line.
I don't know if it's making me worse or stronger to keep on going. :/

There are times we just have to have a break or else we will "hit the floor" so to speak. I can't imagine working in a factory. Wow. I did use an NSAID while I was working full time and I'm sure it helped keep me cool. I think if I were you, I'd make a bunch of thin ziploc ice packs and line my clothing with them, build little pockets into my tops and pants and such. Is it possible you could transfer to a better environment for you at work?

(On the NSAIDs I took, I used them faithfully, every 4 hours and I know that can be dangerous for the liver so they do have to be taken when there's food in the stomach.)

I really admire that. I always felt getting on ssi was the wrost mistake I have ever made. At the time I thought it wouldn't take much longer then a year to get figured out, well that's 5 years counting and I just now got a neuro appt. For the last 6 months ive done everything I could to finish my test and get my cert to go back to work and it's been murffey's law on sterioids. Stars with a infection that needed surgery, then I get sick, then my daughter get sick twice, and now I've suffered another attack that has me floored again. It's very frustrating!

I understand your situation well. I am still trying to work a Full Time job...but not sure how much longer my mobility will allow me to do so. NO ASSISTIVE devices allowed while on the clock. ..I use a Bioness L300 stimulator that helps keep me from dealing with foot drop.(under uniform and out of site). It will be just a matter of time before Disability Retirement/SSI has to be addressed. I dont know your financial standing...but for me I have to try to keep working as long as my body allows: car payments, house payments, teenagers, ...life goes on. Hopfully you dont suffer a Relapse during all this too...Im on a 5 day oral steroid to try to help...as things are ruff going physically right now.
