What I do is
- Increase calcium and vitamin D supplements. This helps prevent a calcium deficiency. I continue for a month post-infusion.
- Increase gabapentin dose - this helps with the achiness/headaches I get post-infusion
- Get lots of extra sleep the day before and the day of. This helps keep fatigue from washing me out.
- Eat lots of fruits and veggies.. Just to help with general energy and nutrition.
- Plan little/nothing for that week, just rest and feel better!
Hope it goes well for you :-) It definately has always helped me recover quickly from a relapse.
I would also prepare for after the infusion...Get some Zantac on hand for heartburn. Get some yogurt and diet 7up. Know you won't be sleeping. If you are working you might ask your neuro for Ambien for a few days. Again keep hydrated and know there will be water weight gain that last a little over a week.
Hope things go well...
Hope you have no side effects.
Good Luck
Bunch of hugs
