I have found that a soft brace that pulls my shoulders back and down has helped me ease some pain and fatigue when I have to sit upright for a long time. I found mine on Amazon for under 50 dollars. It looks athletic, have mesh in the back for cooling and adjusts with velcro under the chest (not to mention the awesome job it does showing off what "my mamma gave me" in the front :). I can wear it under a light sweater - but usually over a T-shirt because it chafes a little under the arm pits. I sewed in a couple pads over the underarm straps to make it more comfortable. I used some extra black bra padding and wrapped it around the underarm straps. Really helps. Something worth trying...
I also go to an assisted yoga session for 1.5 hours a week. We stretch all my muscles in that area and apply gentle pressure to release the spasms and stretch them again. It feels SOOOOO good! And I know keeping flexible is the best thing for my body over the long-run.
I am trying to use less pain medications - my fatigue is very heavy and baclofen makes me so tired. I have found these to be the best solutions I have tried so far.
My best to you -
