MS is an unpredictable disease - and this unpredictability is what tends to scare folks the most. The best way to deal with uncertainty is to plan for it - financially, vocationally, and any other way you can think of. As it turns out, planning for the best doesn't prepare you for much of anything because the best hardly ever happens in life. Planning for the worst, however, helps you feel more prepared and less vulnerable no matter what comes along.
Planning doesn't have to be a downer. Wise planning can help you pursue your goals with confidence and optimism. without having to focus too much attention on your MS.
I have reviewed my insurance coverage to see exactly what it does and doesn't cover, keeping in mind that non-covered expenses end up coming out of my pocket. I also took a closer look at my employment situation, asking myself some difficult, but important questions:
1. Is my job stable?
2. What's happening with my MS?
3. Hows my job performance?

- Bought a home that was single-story and disability friendly for when that becomes necessary.
- Changed professions to a stable, quiet, office type job
- Kept a better pulse on my overall financial situation

On the time to prepare wagon is my daughter, she still trying to figure out what and if to study. This house will be hers, not to split with her siblings. She feels she wants to do something but haven't figure out yet. She is a groomer and that's very convenient with ms.
