It does help to cath. Hope you do that. It does empty the bladder the most.
I add to the sentiment that PT is important but you can get some bad therapists. Most of the ones I have had were bad but I just found one who helped me the most so far. I am just starting back after a long time with a disgusting opinion of PT. But my neuro referred me after a year of more progression and I real happy he did.
MS can get better with exercise. Too bad that they charge so much for PT and so many of them are a waste of time and money. I had one who was juggling 3 patients within the hour. I didn't get much attention from her. I am just glad that I found someone good. Just keep looking if you are unhappy with yours.
I made calls to two local PT companies, and told them that I was specifically looking for someone who had experience with MS patients. Didn't know to do that when I did PT several years ago.
After about 14 sessions, my therapist advised me to continue the exercises at home - they were all written down, quite a few with stick figure pictures - but she told me that she couldn't do anything more for me. Doing the exercises at home at least keeps me where I am. No improvement, but no worse either.
