64% relapse reduction is a good thing - medication taken by a series of shots isn't so great!

There are many meds in the pipeline, we are a cash-cow for sure. Wish they gave X-amount of shares to the patients taking them, we'd be set for life. Call it a "pain and suffering" stock option. Hmm.... matter of fact, without us, their meds and companies would be worthless. ... ... ...
... ... ... OK, tomorrow I start a movement for an "MS STRIKE" on the pharma companies.... We refuse to take their meds (for a short time) making their stock essentially worthless, then demand shares for each patient who agrees to be on a drug. Oh, and meds free to the patient of course. It's about time we get a cut of their MULTI-BILLIONS in profit a year. They can just divide up a small portion off the top for us to all never worry about $ again. Let's see: 4 million ms patients worldwide, vs the probably 50+ million people profiting off them, factoring the maybe $10 billion/year industry. We could quite literally bring the whole operation to it's knees.You know, considering without us, they have to survive off the measly millions from headache sufferers..... Sick people are the perfect Economy-proof tools. Aww shit, now I'm gonna have all the agencies after me...well it's been fun, cruel world, I'll be covertly killed within the week lol. ;^p you'll know when this post disappears. (conspiracy theorist my ass, did I say one word that wasn't true??)

Wasn't there some long-dead federal law about No Monopolies or something?? Must have been over-looked in our case.... 8^D

They keep us just well enough to get to our next Doc. appointment & pay for it. He said & I agree that they might have cures for lots of stuff, but he said, "the money isn't in the cure, it's in the medication sold & the test taken."

Also said, that if they don't have cures, which is unlikely in this day & age, that they at least have the resources to make cures in lots of cases. But the cures don't make any real money & as he said, allot of people would be out of jobs if we all got well & didn't "come back!"

Funny as hell, but oh so true!

I agree with everyone on their pharma rants. It's all absurd. I get especially worked up about Genzyme. I mean really, your plan is to give your drug out for free to cancer patients so you can reintroduce a smaller amount of the drug at a higher cost to MS patients??

Now that I've got that out of my system. I saw something about this on another site and it looks extremely promising. Yea the injection part would still suck, but this would be tailor made to each and every patient so maybe it'll work better than the one size fits all medicines that are out now. The bad side, I cannot even begin to imagine just how expensive this medicine will be. Given that Novartis is charging $48,000 a year for Gilenya (a pill that's exactly the same for everyone), I can only imagine this company will charge far more.

I'm interested to see if they get approval for the phase III trials. I'm debating on whether or not to buy stock at $3 a share and with this much hype, might not be a bad idea.
