You can apply for CPP disability. They will send you some forms which you and your doctor fill out and submit. It takes about 6 months and it is quite hard to get approved. Make sure when you do your partof the form you answer questions as to how it is on your worst days. Most people get denied the first try, but you can appeal. Make sure you have a doctor on side as what they report is very important.
I can't remember the whole process cause memory is one of my major problems. It also was a requirement of my job, so with that and fatigue i didn't have a problem getting approved. I get about $1100.00 per month but I am not sure if the payment is based on contribution level.
Try applying, might as well do it now as your going to have to sometime down the road. You should also check and see if Ontario has za provincial disability plan.

Hi, I live in Oshawa, Ontario. I was a teacher but am now on long term disability and federal disability pension. It wasn't that hard go get disability as long as you have a good doctor to support you. Make sure you list every single problem and issue no matter how small you may think it is. I get 1064.79 per month which isn't bad but I am supplemented by ltd. and I am married so we have my husband's salary. Good luck!
