Oh the irony of it all!!!

I just had to share this story. I work as a apartment manager, I manage 48 units. I get a call the other day from one of my tenants, he was saying that he needed help and wanted my to come over, you can tell in his voice he was very worried. I went over there and he was in his wheelchair shaking from head to toe and throwing up in the bathroom sink. I told him that I was going to call an ambulance and he said NO, its ok, I have had this before, but this one was the worst he said. All his joints were stiff and was having horrible tremors, he cant feel anything from the waist down, so I got him cleaned up, dried off and transfered him from his wheelchair to his bed, the tembling stopped and he felf much better. He said and I quote " Multiple Sclerosis really sucks, don't ever get it" wtf? really? the irony is sick lol! Anyway we started talking and he said he has had it for years, and he has PPMS. Life is very strange isn't it?

Wow. Life can be very strange at times.

I've always said everything happens for a reason. On that particular day this gentlman needed you... a compasionate person who just happened to know a little about MS. :)

Oh wow it so is, jeez poor guy, so good of you to help, that sort of thing I find so frightning, their was a item on our news the other day of this woman with ms bedridden... fighting for the right to take her life she said "I have no life now Ms had taken everything and she wanted to have some dignity left, to be able to go on her terms... this story was so scary to me, I felt so bad for her, you did all you could hopefully he has some carers that go and help him

Wow, I could say im speechless but im not.

I believe in hidden blessings, but here I think is for both of you. You have no idea what is like needing someone and how important is what you did for that person.
For you, take care, exercise and listen to anything he cares to share with you in regards to ms.

Yeah, we are working with him to get him a caretaker that at least comes in once a day to cook and clean for him ect...but he is an ex cop and the type of guy that is very stubborn and proud, even in his condition. I have worked in the medical feild before, so this kind of stuff doesn't bother me. I told him to call me anytime day or night if he needs help, he has my office and cell phone number. It is all very sad and makes me wonder where the hell his kids are, he has a daughter. I would NEVER let my parent go through that alone, I don't care, I would drop everything for my parents, I already did it once with my father, me and my mom took care of him for six months and he died of cancer happy and comfy at home with his two poodles and his loved ones by his side! wow, some things are more than just coincidences. Glad you were able to help him and offer him more help.

It does make you wonder how someone's family can leave them alone when they need help. But as you said he is stubborn and proud so maybe he is refusing their help because of that. I know I don't want my family to see me struggle with things.
