numbness?

i have been numb from the waist down since my dx in 07'. people ask, well what does it feel like? and the thought just came to me. it feels like. you know when you go to the dentist and they numb your mouth, well thats the best explanation i can describe. kelly

This must be terrible! I bet it affects your bladder and bowels too. How do you walk? Oh my, what do the doctor's say? Isn't there anything they can do for you?

bladder & bowel all messed up. i do still walk with a walker or cane. drs say its just the ms, supposedly it is to go away..........im still waiting! hugs, kelly

You've been waiting 5 years, that hardly seems like a symptom that will go away. It is good that you can still walk and get around. Most of MSers need some kind of assistive device to help us manuver, for whatever reason. Have the doctors done a nerve conduction test andif not, maybe you should have one done?

I'm sure this must be very difficult for you. I understand there is no medication for numbness. Does anyone else know? Please though, don't give up hope that one day this symptom of numbness will disappear on its own. You never know!
