I have not been diagnosed yet, I had a MRI 4 yrs ago and found 4 lesions on the brain, now I'm having symptoms again, I have another MRI scheduled for tomorrow. My question is, when you say numbness, do you guys feel really numb? like arm falling asleep, or cant feel anything numb? because I'm having random spots of numbness, but I can feel it, the best way to describe it is like when your medication form the dentist wears off most of the way, but not all the way yet. feels like cold spots. I have it on the whole right side of my neck, spots on my face, my arms and hands. What do you guys think? I do have fibromyalgia, so not sure it that is what it is. Thanks for your help.

My bad leg sometimes falls asleep and since I can't feel it, I fall when I get up. So now I make sure that it's fully awake and I have feeling in it before I stand. How do I do that? I stomp on the floor while I'm still seated.

It can also be a numbness. I stepped on a piece of glass and didn't know it - I had no feeling - until I saw blood on the floor. But strangely, I could walk just fine when that happened.

I can feel it, and its not like when your leg falls asleep, its like when Novocain is almost all worn off, but not quite.

My numbness is on my right side at times it is bad. One good thing I am left handed and right is the bad side. Feel like I am doing things one handed.

I haven't been diagnosed yet with MS. My current diagnosis is demylinating disease, unspecified. However, I have numerous numb spots where it feels asleep. However they are small spots mostly on my lower legs. Then I have a LOT of pins and needles action on my face and legs. I also get the feeling of bug crawling over my feet, nearly every day, most of the day. I too have fibromyalgia so I am not sure if this numbness is fibro, or the demylinating disease. Back to the neuro on Tuesday.

Looks like you and me are in the same boat basketball, although had a MRI today and they found 4 more lesions on the brain and one on the brain stem, so maybe I will get a diagnosis soon after all. I also have firbromyalgia. Hang in there gentle ((hugs))

Bon,
Sorry to hear you have new lesions. My last MRI didn't show any new ones, except something in my brain stem that they are calling a small capillary telangiectasia. Of course the radiologist lists 4 different impressions of the multipule nonenhancing foci blah, blah, blah.

I have a feeling when I go back to the neurologist on Tuesday he still isn't going to tell me much, but I am happy that he is looking at my whole picture of things that have been going on for years.
