I stopped and had a good think the other day... and it hit me.
I have often thought about going here and going there, tring different jobs, Having on off relationships and being damn right Audacious.
Its amazing what the MS has taken from me and left me with.
People say "dont think about what you cant do or have, be happy with what ya can do and already have".
Yeah ok, why should I be happy that I can no longer run, play games at the local park, try a new job cos i'm bored with the one I have.
I cant travel anywhere alone, or please myself and do as I please.
It would now be hard to find another woman should I ever need one, why would anyone submit to someone with this condition.
As fit as I look and sound its there eating away at everything I was and taking whats left.
I FEEL TOTALLY WASTED.

Hey Jim, I think that we all feel this way at one time or another. It's called being honest with yourself, but at the same time staying in that mode of thinking isn't going to make us feel any better, so getting back to being positive and being happy with what we have is the only solution to our happiness. Just my two cents. You don't have to agree with me. Most of the time, I try living in denial about my disease, that works till something happens to make it impossible to deny. We all have our coping strategies. We just have to do what we can to survive and live as happily as we can with what has been given to us.

don't be so down on yourself. I know it's hard to look back on the person you once were and all the things you were able to do...I always think
"it's been so long i can't remember what being pain-free was like"
But don't think for a second that you NEED a woman to complete you. It's good you are venting all of these negative feelings out by writing it down. Just try not to stay in that "negative thinking" place for long...It's a dreadful place and the longer you stay the harder it is to come out

Hey Jim I thought I may have found my life mate just a year or two before my dx. I was her friend and I spent time with her kids and it felt that maybe it was something. She asked me why I never got married and there were signs there I thought. I just had to walk away, I would not be able to provide for her or her kids, Life sucks sometimes. I feel just like you Jim, JoeyRose is giving good advice. Take Care. Happysoul has good advice also!
