No relief of symptoms-Thinking of trying Tysabri

I was dx in 2005, My main problems are major fatigue, leg pain, feet, ankles, spatisity, and a few other minor things. I feel no better now than i did in 2005. I've read that tysabri could be good for those who have not responded to the regular treatments. But I'm really afraid of the side effects, especially the PML. Does anybody have any experience with this?

Everyone has the virus that causes PML laying dormant in their bodies. Tysabri blocks the white blood cells from entering your brain since they're what's attacking your nerves. Unfortunately they're also what fights off the virus. Basically anyone with a weakened immune systems can contract PML which is why it's seen so readily in AIDS patients.

I'm currently on Tysabri. Have only had two infusions but from my experience it's completely worth the risk.

I've heard that tysabri costs $30,000 a year and that i should check with my insurance company to see if they will pay for it too. Do you have alot of leg pain & Fatigue? Thats what I want to get rid of .

My insurance covered it 100%. If you do choose to go on Tysabri your neurologist should take care of the verification process.

I used to have leg pain/stiffness, fatigue, severe imbalance and double vision. It all went away 2-3 days after my first infusion.
