1) Zenapax (Daclizumab) is a monoclonal antibody directed against the T cell CD-25 receptor
2) In one study published in Neurology 2006 12 months of combination therapy with interferon + Zenapax reduced new contrast enhancing lesions by > 99%. (In this study all patients had an active MRI scan at entry with a minimum of two new contrast enhancing lesions (CEL) on baseline MRI examinations)
Dr O.
i was courious enough to go to the website that you had posted...
it seems to me that when anyone mentions a treatment be it new or old on these boards or even health wise,,, it can be prescribed by their dr. and therfore covered by most health plans.. and if not covered by the health plans then purchased at a low cost... or you may be able to contact the drug company themselves and may qualify for the treatment...
anyone jump on here please and correct me if i am wrong..
Now back to the web site... sorry i digress alot..
this web site and all that i read,,, by the way it was a well done web site right down to the point of purchace and the point where you could market it yourself and become a salesrep so to speak for the company etc...
Personally and i am only speaking for myself...
thats not what i am looking for,,,
Yep i know that quite a few people on here are going to jump in and tell me again... how the drug companies dont care about our health...and are only out to make the almight dollar..blah ..blah...blah...
but i think to post a website that supposdly offers a cure from pain that you can not only purchase,,,, but you can become a sales rep for... is to be blunt... in bad taste .. especially on this forum.. from someone who is not suffering from MS...
May be wrong... ah well... but that my dear.. is my opinion of the day
Dr O.
I thank you for your opininon of the "American way" of our pharma companies: Although I had asked for help concerning a new possibilty for hope against MS, you are welcome to vent your opinions, too. I will stay abreast of new research and developments concerning MS as I too realize some of the ploys used by pharma reps, and am bright enough to recognize them. What gave you or any one the idea that I was selling this is beyond me. I thought this site was to help others and to learn about MS. I will continue to stay open minded about new medications and hope that the progression of my disesaese does not make me as cynical. I hope to see the cure in my lifetime. Thank you for your opinion, anyway
The posts you refer, to were reactions to the 'tohelpothers' post providing a link to a site totally unrelated to your Zenapax question, but a sales pitch for another product. I apologize for going off topic. Your original question and Dr. O's explaination of Zenapax were lost in the scuffle. Again, my sincerest apologies.
Stay with Dr. O and like-minded ppl to learn about Zenapax.
This is not the only valid discussion infiltrated.
