Hi

My sister gave my a book about Chronic pain. I'm still reading, but in the checklist for relief they recommend Capsaicin ointment. Have anyone tried this?

Also many posts here have questioned why dr prescribed antidepressants or anticonvulsants, its because they have been proven to work well for pain. So now I know not all drs think we are just depressed.

I know nothing about neuropathic pain but I do know that doctors like to prescribe anti-depressants for everything. Glad you found an alternative.

I have used capsaicin ointment it did not help for the nerve pain. It did very little if anything. I found taking capsaicin capsils worked better.
there are nerve pain drugs that helps some but they make me crazy!!! I take a low dose antidepressant but it does not help I have found a TENS machine helped allot in the past I am at the point of things not helping so my doc here at the hospital is asking a pain doc to see me. I might have to take stronger drugs to be able to function and sleep
