I just came from visiting MS World's Message Board. I don't get over there very much, maybe once every 6 months. I prefer Daily Strength's forum. Maybe it is what I'm use to, but I was surprised and delighted to see some very good posts there.
My first surprise was logging in to finding a long list of disclaimers put out by MS World, where the user has to agree to them all. I don't remember that there the last time I was there.
Then, as I'm reading something really interesting, and I find myself wanting to post a comment, I find that I cannot. I kept getting error messages telling me to log out and log in again and again. I was very disappointed with that.
Knowing that MS World also censors our posts is another thing that really bugs me about that site. How about you?
I'm just so darn glad DS is around!

I visit there also and I did read they were going to be making the change for the privacy and I have always had to log in than out than back in before I could post or answer any thing, its been a while so when I logged in the new policy popped up but this time it said I was allowed to post after first attempt so I guess that is an improvement I still don't like that I have to wait for someone to read what I write. If everything is proof read why all the rules? If something is wrong it should've been removed at that time. Like you I perfer this site so much better as we can pm someone without needing to give out our personel email address if we choose to keep that part private. I would also llike to say that DS has such a more personal feel to it and the people here write more from the heart than any other site you can find and I've made more friends here than I could've ever imagined and think they will be life time friends.

I agree, whilst MSW has some good posts, I too do not like the fact that posts are censored. I wanted to do a post once, in fact I DID do a post once on how pharmas were messing up drug dosages. It was from an article from a reputed publication, and it was "vetoed" .. my guess is because they receive sponsorship from certain pharmas and it would have been a "conflict of interest". Even though it was a post in the members'interests, it wasn't posted. Now that really is a conflict of interest, and the interest turned out to be in favor of the pharmas..surprise surprise.

As much as MS sucks, Daily Strength seems to be the little pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and I'm glad to have found it. The support is amazing and the friendships formed are so very valued and priceless. Without being dx'd with MS, I never would have ended up here, and never would have met all the awesome people I have. I've never checked out MSWorld, but don't feel I really need to.
