ms with predisone?

My last major attack was last may. Right as everything started to go south I was on a predisone taper for my allergies. It seemed like things got worce faster then it normally would. I was wondering how does predisone work with ms. Also the nagging question in the back of my mind was what I thought was ms attack was just a bad recaction to predisone. I have been on predisone many times before but never when a attack hits. Thanks

Prednisone is the doctor's miracle cure but the problem is that it has some serious side effects. It eases the symptoms but takes a toll on our bodies. If I'm understanding you right, it sounds like you got worse as you were tapering off? Could have been the prednisone was trying to work on two things at once and as you tapered, it couldn't hold back the MS symptoms. Not sure on that one. They usually prescribe different types of the stuff for different situations too.

AS I mentioned though, I won't be taking any more of this. Doctor never could confirm if the stuff actually helped me or if it was just the passage of time in between my symptom appearing and beginning to feel better.
