I read this article that calls ms into question saying that most people that have ms really have lyme disease and talks about a big cover up in the medical filed to deny it. I personaly have been down that road. I was told a few years ago that I had some chronic neurological lyme. Lyme testing was done 4 times, nothing can back positive. I took antiboitcts for a year and nothing changed at all. Now I'm being tested for ms. Hard for me to know if it is lyme, ms or neither.

while there are some similarities, Lyme Disease and MS are not the same issue. I do know of friends who have Lyme disease, and several who deal with MS. (me as one, obviously and unfortunately). But, I do think that those who say they are the same are incorrect..

ditto what sherizi said, I do not believe the bacteria in Lymes disease is not the same thing as MS.

I was told MS can be a symptom of Lyme by pain doc. Were you tested by an ILADS LLMD?

Yes I've been down that road before. I saw a lyme doc all the testing was normal. She dxed me based on symptoms alone. Was on antiboitcts for over a year and I never showed any improvement. Over the years I've come to doubt that dx now their testing me for ms

does Lyme Disease show lesions on an MRI scan?
MS does!
perhaps im ignorant but i do think its a significant deciding factor.

no, normally lyme presents inflmation in the white matter, or sometimes in late state scaring can sometimes be seen. no legions
