Maybe you could try a chiropracter who can do facial/cranial chriro - its not something all chiros know anything about but it may help.
Also I wonder if it is a deferred symptom from your back - again the chiro would offer some relief .
I never had much faith in chiros but once I went i was a convert!
All the best!
However have to say lucky as only rarely in pain. More often it is the back aches that can get painful with spasms.
Doctor said headaches were a typical MS symptom and said it was trigeminal neuralgia (I think). Unfortunately his treatment was just to reduce stress or take a pain killer - although if it gets bad to see him.
I tend to fluctuate between homeopatchic remedies - Ruta Grav, Gelsemium - Anthroposohic migraine remedy Bidor and normal pain killers Tylenol/paracetamol (contains acetaminophen in North America as in Tylenol)
Last resort has to be sleep but sometimes think only marijuana would help - legal in UK as oral spray derivative called Sativex. More for spasm than anything else but might help if could get it prescribed.
My thoughts are with you in your pain and faiing to sleep.
All the best
Unfortunately the pain killers like panadeine forte don't even touch the pain, same with neurofen. I have to take tramadol & sometimes endone & that releives it a bit sometimes. Ha it again last nigh & none helped, got about 3 hours sleep if that & had to go to work today too.
The chiro is a good idea, I have a myotherapist every 2 weeks & that is helping, she was monthly & now fortnightly (got her through ms society & she understands ms which is great).
It could be tied in with the back spasms & neck pain but often not when I am having back spasms, does cause painful neck though.
Hoping more regular myotherapy will help. I have her coming this week & looking forward to a good massage. She does everything which is really good.
Didnt even think about it having anything to do with blurred vision. It doesn't tie in with my vision problems though. My right eye is often closed or almost closed but had all tedts & had 3 days of methl-prednisolone back in May, then Botox in July which didn't do as well as hoped. It did stop eye spasming but that has started sometimes again the last week so obviously not lasting long enough for me. I had to shut right eye a lot of the time today which is very frustrating but couldn't see out of it, made me a bit unbalance though.
The band keeps coming back though & I don't seem to be able to get rid of it for long at all.
Thankd for understanding & suggestions too.
Just thought I would update all on the head issue.
I also get this band like feeling with tingling down left side .
also i get wavy lines in my eyes theats goes from one side to the other then goes. Havent a clue what it is but all i no is that i need sleep after such an episode
Hope ur feeling better soon x
