Two people I know when to the ER thinking that they had a heart problem and they were checked for heart issues because the doctors in the ER were not familiar with the MS Hug. Anyway, they didn't have any heart problem, it just felt that way. My one friend then went to her neuro doc and was treated with steroids and her MS Hug went away. Both of these people had the MS hug that went away. But there was nothing wrong with their insides. But the docs had to check to make sure. There is always the possibility.
I don't know of any other thing that can help but I think that I have heard of something that does. So please ask your neuro doc for help in this matter. I hate to see you suffer for this.
I do get something like this in my toes, but it comes and goes. It is not something that is really troubling. There is nothing wrong with my toes and it has spread over the years so I know it is a MS symptom.
So it depends on what kind of mindset you have. Some folks can easily transcend into another dimension while others cannot. My endless MS Hug has never gone away so I have learned to live with it; just like I have learned to live without winning the lottery.
MS Hug is a tight feeling on your skin like someone is hugging you very tightly.
it used to be called a girdle feeling. it is usually around your middle like wearing a tight girdle but also around your chest.
A hug makes you feel like your torso is wrapped very tight and you can't remove it, at the beginning its horrible, but later one gets used to it,,,now I'm trying to " win the lotto" LOL,,,I needed that.
