I live in the Grand Rapids area and the neuro I have now gave me my diagnoses when 2 others said it was'nt. He's a smart guy Harvard grad. I don't know if it is to far a drive or not for you. Let me know

I also forgot to add they have a support group that meets on the 3rd Sat. of every month I hav'nt been to one yet as I just got my diagnoses and on the first meeting was same day as MS walk

Funny thing about him I did'nt realize he was the medical director till I put his info down for GeminiAmy. He works at Saint Mary's Neuro Science Center. Being from GR I'm sure you know where Saint Mary's Hospital is

My sister and my mom both have MS and they live in Michigan. They see Dr. Roth who is a neurologist out of Petosky, MI. My mom seems to enjoy him but my sister has disliked him since her diagnosis. He's kind of a tell it like it is Dr. with not very good bedside manner, but he gets the job done.

My husband (who has MS) and I live in Minneapolis, MN, and he was diagnosed about a year before both my mom and sister so when they were diagnosed we asked our neurologist here if he knew of any good Dr.'s in Michigan and he told us that the best MS specialist he knew of was from Wayne State (can't remember a specific Dr., sorry!).

What has helped me is going to the National MS Society website. They keep track of all events and support groups in all areas. It has been such a valuable tool.
