Does anyone know if or when Medicare will start supplying acupuncture in their policies? I dont know of any of the supplementals that will, but maybe just maybe there has been a recent change.

I truly believe that the acupuncture helps the most. I just cannot afford it on my SSD. If I could go once a week, I would feel great!

cant help with the medicare question, But I have had acunture a few times,my neck and back in particular it helps me soooo much but yes too expensive......if only once a week would be bliss.......sigh........

My regular insurance will not cover it either. This is not just a Medicare issue.

I seriously doubt that Medicare will ever cover this. A few private pay ins do but we are lucky to get what we have from Medicare. Look for an aupuncture shool in your area. That is best uption for low cost acupuncture

I know Medicare will pay for chiropractic care (something I don't mess with personally). I've gone to an acupuncturist in the past and yes, it has helped.
My supplement to Medicare plan does pay for acupunture -- up to 20 visits a year with a small co-payment. The problem is finding an acupuncturist that will take the insurance! :(

thanks to all for your inputs. Nice to hear how much so many others benefit from the acupuncture too. I guess I just have to hang in there and go when I can. Thanks again!
