I've tried it for helping me manage my pain, and it works. Also, it helps me sleep at night wherein I\'m now taking sleeping aids that are ot working.. Pot always use to make me paranoid, so I'm not sure about your mood swiongs or depression on the stuff. I would think that pot would make it worse. Maybe you should see a physciatrist to help you deal with mood swings and depression.
My doctor just started me on Marinol, synthetic THC to help with the pain. I've only been on it a week, but haven't noticed any diference. I think the best results come from smoking the stuff, but it is illegal here in Maryland Good luck to you.
