LOVING TECFIDERA!!!

After being really scared to start the Tecfidera (my DRs first patient on it), I am almost through my first month. I had no side effects whatsoever, I noticed my fatigue is somewhat better, my speech is better AND I took a hot bath without passing out! Some of you may not know how big of a deal that is, but it is HUGE for me. I couldn't take a shower when I was home alone with my son in case something happened, so to be able to do that without passing out is amazing. I'm so thankful for an oral medication (I have a SEVERE needle phobia) and just hope it works. I almost feel like it's too good to be true. Hoping my next MRI says it's doing its job!

Thank you! I developed 7 new lesions taking Copaxone and Betaseron gave me bruises and felt like I had the flu every other day. Glad this one is going well!

I am glad you are loving it and noticing a difference. The Tecfidera is amazing I'm in my second month of it myself. YAY for a pill!

That's good news Melanie. I'm going to my Neurologist Tuesday for a normal checkup. Going to have her take me off Rebif as the insurance company will no longer pay for it after Jan. 1st, 2014, and I have been reading up on Tecfidera.

That's great news! I've been on it 6 months now myself and love, love, love it!

I read somewhere where a person developed side affects in their 5th month of taking Tecfideria. That is discerning. I hope that doesn't happen to either of us.

Glad to hear it! So happy that you shared this!! I am starting when I run out of my Rebif in another month. I was scared about the flushing and the digestion side effects so you are helping me get through the fear.

Your comment helped very much. I failed Copaxone and Rebif and have been prescribed Tecfidera. I've been ignoring the calls for delivery because I was terrified that I would give all of my energy back to a drug. I think I will give it a go!

I was really scared to try it as well. Everybody is different, but I would have dealt with a month of side effects to not have to do injections. I feel really good. Although I never had any side effects, I was still REALLY hesitant to start it. Good luck to you who are starting soon!
