I am glad that at least the stupid lesions are doing something good for me. Down 38 as of today. No real appetite. I had to start entering my food into sparkpeople everyday to make sure I was not hitting starvation, so I can keep my body healthy. The health teacher at school yells at me otherwise.
sorry about the vomiting, though- That is awful.
I hear ya on the Ensure. It's mostly what I eat now. My PCP says I may have gastritis and doesn't think it's related to the possible MS (nor does my neuro). Who knows. All I know is I used to love food and eat when I was stressed out. Now I could care less if I eat or not, and usually don't want to, and very few things sound good. I haven't had the vomitting yet, but have had nausea. HUGS and good luck. One thing my PCP told me was to take a Flinestone vitamin daily, because stronger vitamins are too much for your stomach right now, but you need some vitamin. Maybe that's helpful advice.....I don't know. Take care.
I lost my appetite about 2 yrs ago, when the ms hug came on. I got my medical marijuana card to help with pain and sleep but I had to quit smoking because with the hug and smoke I couldn't breath. I tried it in food but didn't want to eat and it didn't work as good. My card has since expired so I don't do it at all.
I have regained some appetite back but it comes and goes. I lost 40 lbs. But I had plenty to lose! I gained some back and have lost a little again. I have chronic constipation but the docs are blaming it on gabapentin,ms contin and flexiril but the constipation came on long after I started taking them. Even with miralax and a healthy dose of softeners and laxatives, it is chronic!
I eat a lot of fruit, I force myself to eat, even if it is just a few grapes or an Apple. I too get nausea but never vomit from it, I'm sorry you are having those problems, sounds miserable! My craving For food has changed too, I want sweets all the time!
Please take care, I hope you get to feeling bettet.
Kevin
