Don't Quit
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is strange with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow -
You might succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt -
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

Take care

Thank you Michelle, I sure didn't mean to make anyone feel like I am worse off than them. I know there is always someone worse off than each of us but I just had to let off steam I guess. Thanks for understanding.
Hugs, Sue
Your messages full of your experiences and challenges always inspire me,,,,to do more,,,,,to move,,,,,to pray.
Every time I'm walking somewhere, dragging my cement block leg, I think of you,,,,how it feels to walk with the boot and this thoughts make me feel stronger. You don't know how important your experiences have been to me.
Now I wait everyday for the post that announces surgery date and post op updates.
I pray this flare is short
Alma
many hugs, connie
Alma your encouragement & that you think of me in daily actions is so inspiring to me to just keep going as there are others thinking of me & doing it tough too.
I am hanging out for a surgery date too, just want to know & get it done it is affecting too many aspects of my life.
THANKS everyone
Don't feel bad for venting or being "a downer" - we are all here for each other - for the ups and the downs, just like you've been here for us.

I did get myself motivated today & got picked up to go to the local pool centre & join a ms group which does aerobics (of a type for ms).
The lady that runs it is really good & helps different people adjust the exercisises to what they can do. I did mainly hand & arm & was able to do some kicking too.
The class runs for 1 hour but I only lasted 1/2 then got out. I had a carer there to help me get dressed etc.
I was tired after it but at least I did something to try to build up my strength before surgery & getting out. Rested at home the rest of the day.
Tomorrow I have the pain clinic so hopefully they will be able to suggest something else to help too.
