I haven't been well since November when I woke up with vertigo, left sided headache, left sided head pressure, left eye felt odd and watery and generally felt unwell. I had my eyes tested at the opticians and everything was normal, seen an ent specialist and he couldn't find anything. My gp kept saying it was anxiety but I wasn't convinced. I asked for a brain ct scan and my gp didn't think anything would be on it. I had one and 2 days later my gp rang to say there were 3 shadows on it and I needed to see a neurologist and possible lumbar puncture and mri. I have read that ms lesions wouldn't show up on a ct scan just an mri.
My gp said it wasnt cancer and I hadn't had a stroke so what is it? My dizziness is back and my head feels heavy, my right arm and leg feel cold and a bit numb but not fully.
It takes ages for referrals in the uk and I am scared I deteriorate.

if you do you can have what is called
optic neuritis
a reg eye doc will not be able dx you will it they have to do special eye scans
I saw a Neuro-ophthalmology doc they are the ones who are able to explain it.
hope you get answers soon I know what it is like to be left in limbo land
I just saw a regular optician who took pictures of behind my eye and a vision field test.
It's my left eye, it waters and feels odd but my vision is ok.
Cat scans give you a large dose of radiation so try to avoid too many. Have no idea what a shadow refers to. Cold limbs and numbness goes with MS but other problems as well.
Definitely should see an MS neurologist.
