Unfortunately, lesions on the spine have higher correlation with motor disability, though they may cause sensory problems instead or in addition to motor problems. What kind of symptoms are you or the person with the lesions on the spine is having?

It really depends on where the lesions are and how big.
The higher up they are the more issues you have.

Kayce and Pharm are absolutely on target. Those same words were spoken to me by one of the best neuro's I've seen. Mine are in the neck and are in the upper/mid thoracic. Not too bad in the brain. I'm 25 yrs post 1st attack at age 30. No Assistive device for first 10 yrs. Then 2nd attack and I'm in a wheelchair today.

Thus I encourage everyone to try different DMD's esp Tysabri if you can. These came out a little too late for me. And then again every one is different. I had a 9 year 'remission' between 2 attacks but the damage was going on behind the scene,

Just do what you can to stay in top shape.
