I had to leave my job as a teacher a few years ago because I could no longer write. I LOVED my job so the 1st year out was difficult.
( I am pasting my reply to the depression post)
I fought serious depression after I had retired early from teaching due to my inability to write. I have been on an antidepressant since soon after I was dx. It helps to a point, but what I find even more helpful is getting back into the swing of life. I've been to PT & OT because my Neurologist suggested it. I did what I had to keep everyone happy, but not me. I have been doing Therapeutic Horse Riding & Yoga for MS. These r what I chose to do, with my Neurologist approval. Being able to get back 'in the real world' is what has helped me with depression. I won't say that I never get down at times when my husband goes to a job he loves or when MS stops me from doing some things with my kids, but for me it really helps "
Finding something else that u enjoy & r able to due helps with the transition.
