Saw my doctor today and asked him about LDN. I made some print outs from the web site and he had no problem reading them and then asked me if I wanted to try it (but not give up the Avonex as it seems to be working). So, I thought, why not? So I guess I'll try the LDN. Thanks to this site, I learned about this. My doctor was familiar with the drug (but not for MS) and said it was quite safe and wouldn't hurt me.

Also, he was surprised that paperwork has to be completed by him so that I can get my driver's license renewed. He hadn't heard of this, so I'm thinking it is probably a fairly new thing. Anyway, he had no problem whatsoever giving me a 'clean bill of health'(so to speak) for driving purposes. Yay! I get to keep my driver's license. Of course, I LEFT the paperwork at home (imagine forgetting something!) and since it is 90 miles to the doctor, will have to send it to him. Oh, well.

I learned that pravacol (sp.) for cholesterol can cause weakness and achiness in the legs, especially knees so he wants me to take a break for about three months from that drug and see if that is what is causing my weakness in the legs or if it is actually the MS.

Also, he said that there isn't a drug that effectively fights fatigue. Guess I'll stay on the amantadine since the provigil doesn't do a thing for me.

Also prescribed something for bladder (didn't want to do this, but we often don't have much choice) but I only take it when I don't have ready access to a bathroom for extended periods of time.

Good check-up! Am now on the 'six month' appt. visitation. Was three...now six.

Is anyone else on any of these drugs I mentioned (like LDN)?
