I'm sorry you had a bad experience with your neuro. ( You didn't mention anything unique about the neuro you were referred to so I'm assuming that it is a regular neuro.) Neuro's don't prescribe LDN, they just don't. There is a sub-group here www.dailystrength/org/groups/ldn that you might want to post a comment/question about the LDN aspect of your question.

Amantadine works better than nuvigil or provigil for me, so I'm sorry it make you feel like death. It is suppose to give you energy! Maybe next visit you need to try provigil for fatigue. Alot of people have success with these pills. Also, adderall is also prescribed to a lot of folks here at DS.

Yeah he was a regular neuro the np referred me to him because he has prescribed LDN to other patients. My insurance does not pay for any of the fatigue drugs, I am taking 10mg of adderrall I was trying to figure out something else because of all the effort and time I have to go through just to get monthly prescription.

I just thought I would possibly try as I read it might aide with MS and Diabetes and I have both.

Hi, my daughter takes just 100 mg twice a day of amantadine. It goes well for her. 1000 mg sounds high to start anyone, just my opinion, I don't know.
For me doing pt gives me energy, also eating frequent small meals or snacks.
Whenever you get a new medication might be good to tell pharmacist to give you two or three days worth,,I do, to try, sometimes is cheaper paying for them , some copay are higher than the actual cost of meds.

1. My neuro MS specialist prescribed LDN for me but only the lowest dose (3.5 mg). I have been on it for a while but don't really notice any difference one way or another. But others say it works for them. But anyway, my MS neuro prescribed LDN reluctantly. If they are a MS specialist, they should know about LDN.

2. I have been on amandadine and also provigil. Provigil is much more expensive and just went on generic but still VERY expensive ($400/mo??). But I used to get amandadine. It works for fatigue also. It is usually very cheap. I thought that through Caremark it was cheaper than the $20 co-pay for 90 days. So check about that. It was cheap a few years ago. I stopped taking it because I am on Provigil and Amandadine lowered my blood pressure and my bp was already low to begin with so I stopped taking it. It didn't make me feel like death. My dosage was 100 mg. I am wondering why you have 1000? Is that a typo? Anyway, it made a little difference with the fatigue. Sorry that it made you feel bad because it was fine with me. Only side effect was to lower my bp a little. Look at the side effects. It helps hold off the flu and helps with fatigue. Surprised that it was expensive.
