Hi, feeling a bit sorry for myself, feel like all I am doing is existing. I was diagnosed in 2010, I am still working full day 5 days a week. Weekends I mainly try to rest, this weekend I slept the whole weekend. Had terrible MS Hugs, problems swallowing - possibly due to the MS hugs.
I am venting, I know:-( I just feel like I can't do the working thing anymore, it is not stressful, but it takes energy that I don't have and energy that I should be spending with my family, I have a ten year old daughter with Autism, ADHD, petimal epilepsy and low tone, she is such a loving child, it just feels as if I don't give her the time that she needs, mommy is always tired. My husband is a wonderful person, I am truly blessed to have him, he has taken over the responsibility for preparing lunch in the morning, to take some of the burden off me. I feel guilty. I have had to buy a new (second hand) automatic, It puts additional financial strain on us, I can't earn more, as it is the company that I work for is trying to have me medically boarded, my neuro says not yet. Do not meet the EDSS scores.
The problem is that I have almost no stress at work, very little at home, except for the financial issues with the car. As it is we try everything possible to earn more, I do embroidery, we sell knives and martial arts equipment, do leather work and sell books. All for extra income for medical bills. Now we have a court case, long story.
Lets just say, if you have family that does not stand with you, it is better to just completely cut them out of your lives. I have no friends left, my husband is my only friend, I have acquaintances, that is it.
I just think it is unfair to just exist, how about enjoying life!!
Sorry about the ranting and raving, I just don't think anyone else would understand. This disease takes so much, it gives nothing back. I always say, life is wasted on the young, but the thing is, I was looking after my dad, also MS, he passed before my 12th birthday, I have never been "young", I feel like I was born 35 years old.

Wish I was medically boarded, cannot deal with these idiots, what is worse, I have more knowledge in HR than her. Just because I have MS now I am useless to them. Discrimination Much!!!!

My son would come in to my classroom to help out when he had 1/2 days. When my husband was working in the evening both kids would go back into work with me. Sadly enough that was often my 'time' with them.
I loved my job, but just like u it took all of my strength & energy. I would have little to none left when I came home. When I decided to retire early on disability. That year we went July - January without my paychecks. It was hard, but it can be done.
I wish u the best!! It's a difficult decision to make.
P.S. What does mean to be 'boarded' at wok?
We don't judge here or try not to anyway. I just hope it gets better. My mother always said that things get better and they get worse and they get better again. So it is the cycle of life. Try to look at the thing you can be grateful for. You are lucky to have a husband that you have. I wish I had that.
My family is bad and I don't even talk about them. But I understand about your family members. Wish I didn't but I do. Just glad that you have your husband. Hope it gets better soon.
Glad that your daughter is loving. She sounds nice to be around. My best to you. Thoughts are with you.
