My husband just told me for the last 3 months he has noticed that in the middle of the night (like 3 or 4) I will have a series of little complete body, involuntary 'shudders'. Have any of you had that? I am slightly weirded out, just because he didn't just mention it freely, but rather because I asked him if he has any ideas for things I should mention in my neuro appt tomorrow.

Hey Anne, are you asleep when this happens then?

I have involuntary 'shudders' or 'jerks' as I call them when I'm over tired or sometimes without reason. But I'm always awake when they happen. Mainly my head and arms.

Prob best mention it to the neuro, if you feel it is relevant or bothers you. Maybe the neuro could explain it

Tell him to try and record it, its the best way to explain to the dr.

Interesting ...I've had this when very tired but awake. I haven't had it lately but I was having this sx for a while and wondered what it was. I am learning so much from this site about sxs I've had that I haven't ever even thought of being associated with MS.

I have shudders like if i am cold but i am not cold! very weird i thought i was the only one with this symptom!

I have this problem when I sleep too, so much in fact that some of the jerks will wake me up. Very strange. Never had before the MS came along.

Well, my neuro said he thinks it could definitely related to my general spacticity, so he's giving me a new drug - tizanidina. I guess the baclofen isn't doing the trick so much?
