Hi All,

Yesterday I received a message that was very specific sexually. It came from a friend on this board. I knew that this person would NEVER send a message like this one, but I forwarded it to him anyway so that he would know that someone else was using his DS name to send nasty messages.

My friend was horrified and I hope that he has reported this. I am just wondering if any of you has received a sexually explicit message in the past 24-48 hours? We certainly don't need this person on DS! I'm wondering how this individual got hold of the password for the person whose identify he has stolen?

I've also heard from another DS friend that there may be some type of stalker in our midst. Where do these people come from? Don't we have enough things to worry about with multiple diseases? We certainly don't need to have to deal with this as well. I've never had experiences like this before, but it won't deter me from this marvelous support group.

I haven't had any problems, but I appreciate the heads up! I will definately pay close attention to my messages and let my friends know if I have any problems.
I agree these people need to find something better to do with their time!

We have had bad people in here before. It doesn't surprise me. That is the world we live in.

maybe it was an easy password? who knows, but as long as they're caught quick, what more can we do.

As I said in another topic.
There are those that lurk in the shadows, never post on the boards.
You should remember that not everyone is an open honest person.
You're still on the internet.
There's most often a reason people just lurk in the shadows and don't post here.
Be safe friends, please be safe.
It's not a perfect world, sad to say.

There are also others that, rather than choose to lurk, create (potentially multiple) false identities and post incessantly - robbing legitimate participants from enjoying this site for the reason it was intended. I'm done with the frichin psycho(s) that have invaded what used to be a supportive community,

yes unfortunately that does happen. Thats why you should not give out personal info to some one on here. There are always exceptions to every rule as we get to know each other. I have many friends and their personal email and home addresses but , but I would think 2 before giving it out.

A friend of mine got 2 of them from a female and they were just like you describe. I don't know if he reported them, but he just deleted them and they stopped, or they were removed I can't remember, I'll ask him.. Sounds like the same thing. He was really floored that someone would write things like that to him. I hope it's not starting again. CRAP!

I've heard about individuals 'lurking' on this site, but have never actually encountered one via a message. Fortunately, no other messages have been generated from this individual. Hopefully, they will stop. Even so, this site has been so valuable to me for over a year that I don't think I would want to give it up despite what some sicko might write.

My question is I hope Doug can find out where it is coming from so innocent people don't get kicked off. How do these people get peoples passwords weird.
These bad people should prey on other evil people not sick ones.
