I have very little muscle mass and I set a goal of walking 1400 steps a day. I was successful until I fell this morning, a nice man helped me up and walked me home. I am a fall risk and have fallen at home. Any ideas on a safe way to build up my muscles? I'm concerned that if I do nothing I will be in a wheelchair before long. I currently use a cane.

I have Ataxic cerebral palsy, (which is very similar to ms) And have ;low muscle tone (hypotonia) Not much You can do about it unfortunately. I am also a liability, so unfortunately can not work anymore.
I do workout with a circuit called E GYM available at the YMCA, not sure if all Y's have them or not, Maybe ask a personal trainer, if they have any ideas to increase muscle mass. I have also worked with personal trainers, and mass/ tone has improved a little bit. All I'm trying to do right now, is keep my mind and body active. I still do stumble and fall once in a while
But, e gym is the best I've found so far.
