I recently got an exercise bike and I love it, but I didn't feel the problems til the next day when my left knee swelled up. Now I have to limit my time. Perhaps if you slowly added a little more time every day. That is what the Physical therapists say.
Don't give up!
1. You haven't worked out in a while, and you're not as in shape as you were before. As a healthy person would do with a new workout, pace yourself. Pace yourself with the degree of fitness you're at now. Playing until you have pain, or fatigued for a couple days just doesn't make good sense.
2. It could be as go forward your stamina & fitness will improve a tad. You may be able to add more time on later.
If I remember right, you want your boyfriend to spend more time with you, to stay home with you. If you're just going to be a slug & in pain, he might as well go out & socialize with his friends. That's just a sad fact of life. Better to save a bit of energy to socialize with him. Though we have MS, we can't be selfish when it comes to others around us. It's selfish to want him to sit around and watch you sleep.
I'm not trying to be mean, it's just a fact.
