I think you are doing the best thing, grief affects us all differently but in my experience the way your discrbeing what he is doing is quite typical (especially for men)
I'm sorry he has to deal with this awful loss he must have been close, I really think you as his wife are doing the right thing, be their when he needs you even if that is in silents, you'll know when and if he needs to talk

Just having your loving support is the best you can do. You are doing the right thing by being there for him.
Sorry about your hubbys loss. Their is not really a lot you can do. Most of us guys seem to handle death so much different than one another and we don't seem to talk or show much emotion till we are ready, and than we seem to keep it inside. What he is doing is probally working for him. Again sorry for your familys loss
