I've read that MS can be a cause of headaches, but my neuro dismissed mine as 'tension' headaches and just wrote me a script. It's funny because the ONLY time I had headaches prior to potentially having MS was after I drank too much :D haha. What a lovely disease...no one really knows WTF is going on!
BIG Smiles :p

BUT I got my first migraines from Rebif. The drug itself can cause headaches so if you are on interferon, it can cause headaches. Please report it to the company so that they can report them to the FDA. They are required to.
My doc said that a certain percentage of patients gets the migraines from interferon. It is listed as a side effect and my headaches were no small headache, they were full fledged migraines. When I changed to Avonex, the migraines went away because the dose is less than Rebif, but I am starting back on Rebif starting this month and so I am prepared to get migraines again from that.
I take Zomig for the headaches and it works for me. In fact, I break them in two and it works fine with a half dose.
Good luck with your findings. Also, I had a roommate who had migraines and she discovered that she had food allergies and certain foods can set off migraines so MS may or may not be related to your migraines.

I've had daily headaches for 17 yrs .
I just called them tension headaches.
I take Fiorinal with caffeine and aspirin and it knocks it out in 15 mins before it get to the migraine stage.
BUT now since I've been on my sleep apnea machine they seem to lessen ALOT!
as for my MS when I heat up , headaches come as fast as possible.
I hope u feel better! and find the right med for u !
Always Silky ~
Not much works for it since its nerve pain. Have tried most everything...and I mean everything.
Diet, appropriate supplements (like evening primrose and ALA to start), and cannabis are your best bet.
I agree with the cannabis, my dr doesn't. She says it worsens the cognitive issues, oh well, I will do whatever makes me feel better.
Hugs,
Tammy

THANKS AGAIN ! xxx ANGIE
I've had 3 root canals because the pain can be mistaken to tooth aches, so there you may have an idea of how the pain feels.
The pain is so excruciating that the slightest breeze makes your entire head thump in pain.
I hope it's not MS, but if it is, don't worry. You can lead a perfectly good life if you take care of yourself :)
This headaches were the reason I went to neurologist in the first place.
