the only way i would be able to afford this medication is with the help of the government, it is a plan called trillium drug plan.

I\'m taking LDN, so it\'s only about $15.00/month for me.

I HAVE PRIMARY PROGRESSIVE MS AND IT HAS DISSABLE ME. THE DOCTOR THINKS NOVENTRONE CAN STOP THE PROGRESSION BUT I HAVE NO INSURANCE BECAUSE OF MY EX-HUSBAND. I DON\'T QUALIFY FOR DISSABILITY THANKS TO HIM. I WORKED FOR HIM, BUT OF COURSE HE DIDN\'T PAY ME SO I DON\'T HAVE POINTS TO GET DISSABILITY. I CAN NOT AFFORD TREATMENT. ALL I CAN DO IS PRAY

I\'m on SSDI and can hardly afford meds. with Medicare part D i have to spend almost 400 for copaxone. thats almost 1/2 my disability check!my other meds are between 1-65 dollars. Funny thing, when i was working making money my copaxone only cost 10 a month. i know theres help out there...you just have to find it. i get 1 of my drugs from the company for free. there is another organization, partnership for prescription drugs i heard can really help. If your very low income you could qualify for health insurance through your state.

The people who make Avonex will work with you. You could avoid your insurance all together. Go to their website and call them. I have in the past not had any kind of insurance to help me pay for it. At those times, I have contacted them and they have sent me injections free of charge. I know that they will work with you on a perminate basis as well, and can work out how much you would pay by your income.
Also, for anyone who has MS meds they can't afford check into NORD. National Orginiztion for Rare Disorders. They can also get your MS meds for you at minimal or no cost.
I have been on SSD for two years now, I still have to wait until October before I qualify for Medicare. At this point I rely on my state to help pay for medical expenses. And every six freakin months I have to meet a spend down. Which can take months, mine is at $1800. Which is unrealistic if you ask me. But, I only have one more to go before Medicare should kick in.

I couldn't afford that. I would get help form the governement. I work for the county and am blessed with good insurance through Healthnet. I don't even pay a copay. I sure hope it stays that way but who knows with insurance.

hi, this is virgo. i was getting medicaid but as soon as my SSDI started they took it way from me. so, until medicare take effect then i don't know what i am going to do. i willpray that God willstep in and fix it for me because i know he can do all things. i will keep the faith and pray. i want you to do the same. virgo

I didn't read thru all of the replies but I thought I would mention that I went w/out med. insurance for the first 7rs. of my diagnosis. Now I have insurance but it does not cover meds. My copaxone is covered 100% by NORD. All I pay is the 50.00 shipping fee every 3 months. Hope that helps. Emmie
