so far, only muscle relaxers and time have seemed to help.
In sympathy, E
I know what it is, I wish it was constipation, this is much worst, and I have both. Your colon closes shot but the worst its when you are half way done and it closes,, oh the pain. Muscle relaxers help but doesn't prevent them. I just relax, yes thru the tears and wait. Its hard to relax when its hurting so much, but you'll learn.
Really sorry you are experiencing this and hope it stops soon.
Alma
Pellets, pebbles, and rocks in the bowl are a sign that your poop is staying in the lower half of the intestine too long.
Pumpkin is a great helper as well. I dont know why that helps me so much, but it does. I add it to cake mixes or brownie mixes or eat it as a mashed treat instead of potato. It adds enough bulk to trigger those muscles to say DUMP! there is something so satisfying about a good poop. I hope you get one soon. Dont forget to drink water! hydration is so important.
Alma, yes, this is different than normal constipation. It is halfway out but the muscles clench tight and holds it in.
I know, way TMI but hey many of us can relate huh?
I called my neuro and he said there is nothing he can do.
Gonna do fiber and such but if the muscles won't loosen I have to simply pass water poop to get it out. Frustrating. Never wanted diareah before but I'd take it right now.
After trying just about everything except suppositories. I have discoved that bananas are very helpful....if you know what I mean. But don't eat them green as this may cause the opposite to what you need.
There should be a club for non poopers
