Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is well with the heat. I would like to ask that if you have any senior neighbors Please Check on them as they as Vunerable to the heat as we are. I just checked my neighbor who is 75, I called and she said she was ok but I still was'nt sure so I went over and her house was an oven and she was sweating and did not look good. I went home and got the extra A/C unit and brought it over and installed it for her, she was so gratefull, I got so over heated doing this as soon as I hit my air conditioned home and hit the cool air I passed out, scared my wife but it was worth it. I will probally pay for this tomarrow but it will be worth it knowing she will be ok.

Way to go! Sometimes helping others is actually the most help you can give yourself. Even if it wears you out!

That was such a compassionate thing to do. We have the best members here at DS! I hope you don't suffer tomorrow.

lchoppel what bugs me the most is she has kids and I'm on SSDI and her one kid makes the $$ and I did not see one of her kids helping, and all I can say is I've spent a lot of my life helping people all kinds as I've been told A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed so after living by this I was quite confused by the MS DX as I lost my last wife because she thought I spent to much time helping other people instead of catering to her every need. emsquad I'm sure you would do the same thing as we need to realize because we were given this this life sentence we should do unto others as we would have them do unto us and not use this disease to get out of the right thing to do. Thanks for your support

That always seems the way of it. I use to take care of my husbands 94 year old grandma. His own mother did not care most of the time, as soon as we moved in next door (his mom lived behind us too) she just dropped her right in my lap and acted like it was my job to take care of her every need, and my husbands as well. Made me so mad that she had a heartless attitude about it. It did as much as I could for her, but then one day told his mom off, needless to say she does not talk to us anymore, and grandma is passed away.

I think what you did is so wonderful and caring! I hope you do not suffer to much for it either, but good job!
