SO now I know when I get a simple cold, why my mind is completely jumbled and I feel like a brick weighs me down as the day goes on! People don't understand when you 'seem' fine with just a little cold, and you can't move! But, as a recent dx, now I know why! Oh, and balance gets more stupid! Please share, I wanna' know I'm not the only one going thru this! love and hugs to all!!!! -laurel

I know what you mean. Last year I suffered from colds in January, February and March. Each time they made things so difficult. I couldn't walk and talk at all. That is when all my craziness started. I am still fighting to get a diagnosis of what is wrong with me. I don't have to be sick anymore to have episodes.

Luckily I haven't been sick in quite a long time - in fact, since I stopped Avonex I haven't had flu symptoms! But, my thought here is to tell you that I'm sorry that you are doing so poorly these days, and remember this too shall pass. Drink plenty of fluids and rest as much as you can. Hope you feel better soon.

Not sure what the opinions are on probiotics, but I used to be sick a lot because I still work full time and in a school of all places. Just the extra tiredness from MS runs me down fast. Two things I tried and I don't if one or both are helping, but I drink Kefir(probiotic, I find it a Wal Mart in yogurt section) and I have been mostly going gluten free with eating. All I can say is I work in a germ factory and haven't been sick since I started both of these things. I even would like a day off now and then to rest, but I'm just not sick! My colleagues have been out several times already. Go figure. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the replies! This is just a plain old cough/cold but I am amazing and now know why, I am over the moon, crappy, tired, mentally jumbled and falling over a bit. MS + cold = yuck!
